Spice Up Your Autumn Décor With These Wreath Ideas
It’s hard to believe we’re already fully in the fall season! Here at Evolve, we want your apartment to feel like a home, and what better way than by embracing autumn?! No matter your style or vibe, there are so many fun ways to decorate your apartment home for the fall. Check out these 5 fall wreath ideas we love to spice up your autumn décor this season!
We’re all about this simple neutral wreath from Pottery Barn. Apart from being pre-lit, this idea would be an easy one to replicate! The natural vibe the branches create makes it perfect for any home. We love it with the white pumpkins, gourds, and leaves, but you can add in any pops of color that go well with your décor!
We love this Williams-Sonoma wreath that epitomizes the sunset hues of autumn! If you’re into more of the traditional fall foliage and color palette, this beauty is the way to go. Golden wheat, orange and brown leaves, and yellow wildflowers make for a stunning fall wreath to spice up your décor.
Nothing says the holiday season quite like the scent of citrus and cinnamon. Incorporating these delicious smells into your fall wreath will certainly spice up your front door décor! Get creative with your fruit—you don’t even have to stick with citrus. Apples, oranges, lemons, and quince will all make for a yummy feast for the eyes!
We’re really diggin’ this dark, woodsy wreath from Williams-Sonoma. With deep plum tones, pheasant feathers, and dried pomegranate, it’s the perfect wreath to get you in an autumnal mood. You can also add in some pinecones and spruce twigs to make it even woodsier!
Looking for a wreath with more of a modern twist? We really love that you can use anything as a base for your fall wreath, and it doesn’t have to be super busy! Try starting with a metal hoop or even a geometric shape and add anything you want to just one portion. The sweet simplicity of this pinecone and eucalyptus wreath from this stunning Etsy shop is such a great option!

How we’re evolving in 2022
It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2022! Here at Evolve, we know the importance of continuing the evolution all year. We’re all about creating apartment homes that feel like your own personal oasis, and we’ve got a lot of projects up our sleeves that fit the bill! Keep reading for all the juicy details on two of our newest projects in the works, Hawthorne at Whitehall and Hawthorne at Daniel Island.
What’s new in 2022 in North Carolina?
Within the heart of Charlotte, NC, Hawthorne at Whitehall is located minutes from Uptown, South End, Ballantyne, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and South Park. We love that the community is just a mile from Topgolf and the Ayrsley retail corridor and is only a few miles from Charlotte Premium Outlets. While Whitehall is right in the mix, it will also have a suburban feel surrounding Johnston Lake and plenty of green space.
Hawthorne at Whitehall apartments and townhomes will have open-concept floorplans and high-end upscale urban interior finishes. Not only are the apartment interiors stunning, but residents can also make themselves at home in the luxury clubhouse with a Resident Lounge. Enjoy daily Starbucks coffee available in the chef’s kitchen, a billiards and game room, cyber café, and package lockers. You’ll also have a 24-hour gym with cardio, fitness on demand, CrossFit-style powerlifting, and yoga right at your fingertips.
Outdoors, residents can relax at the resort-style saltwater pool with poolside cabanas and cushioned lounge furniture. There will also be an outdoor bar with granite countertops and flatscreen TVs. The outdoor kitchen will feature stainless steel grills. A grilling pavilion and lounge, dog park with agility equipment, pet spa, and a playground are just a few of the other outdoor amenities to enjoy. Residents can also take advantage of bike and kayak storage on the property.
Check out these incredible concept photos of what’s to come at Hawthorne at Whitehall.
The evolution continues in Charleston, SC!
Hawthorne at Daniel Island will encompass two midrise buildings overlooking the Cooper River and marsh. The community will feature design elements that complement and blend with the natural beauty of the area.
One of the two buildings will offer an amenity space with a clubroom, game room, cyber café, and fitness center, all looking out over the elevated saltwater swimming pool and lounge area. The second building will feature an elevated courtyard with a beautifully landscaped gathering area with a pavilion, TVs, swing, hammocks, and courtyard games. Residents can also enjoy a penthouse-level community indoor/outdoor lounge overlooking the Cooper River and the city of Charleston.
One of our favorite things about Hawthorne at Daniel Island is the community dock that can be used for hanging out in the sun, socializing, crabbing, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Check out these amazing interior concept photos of what you can expect at Hawthorne at Daniel Island.
How to simplify and thrive in your apartment home this summer
Let’s face it—the idea that a cluttered home creates a cluttered mind has a lot of truth behind it! Here at Evolve, we want your space to feel like a breath of fresh air—your very own oasis. Summer is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to focus on decluttering. Check out these 5 ways to simplify your apartment home for summer.
Evolve communities like Surf City and Mountain View have spacious pantries that can make kitchen organization a breeze! We love the idea of wire or sweetgrass bins to organize all the goodies you store in your pantry, like pastas, legumes, dried fruit and nuts, sauces, and snacks. Air-tight clear containers are perfect for housing your flour, oats, quinoa, lentils, and rice.
The more inviting and accessible your pantry is, the more you’ll want to use what you have! If you don’t have a pantry, that’s okay! Simply use a larger cabinet to store your dried goods.
Cozy winter months often means more time spent indoors. The more time we spend inside, the more décor and other knickknacks we usually accumulate throughout the house. Give your apartment home a quick walkthrough and notice what’s lying around that either serves no purpose or that doesn’t offer a sense of joy!
Do you still have winter candles out, or a stack of books that needs refreshing? Less is more—especially in the spring and summer! Start a pile of items to donate or sell. Create a space that feels light and airy this season!
One of our least favorite things about winter are the big, puffy coats that typically live draped over a chair in the living room or hanging on a hook next to the door. With cold weather in the rearview, it’s a great time to have all your coats cleaned before putting them away until next season.
If you have storage space on the top shelf of a closet, neatly store your coats in a plastic bin so they’re completely out of the way until you need them next. This way, you can free up space in your coat closet for beach chairs and pool bags!
Now is the perfect time to check in on your plant babies! Some of them can likely use a little extra love after colder months when the heat is on in your apartment. It’s a good idea to repot plants occasionally, so that they have fresh soil and maybe a little more space for their roots if needed.
Are any of your plants getting a bit leggy? Grab some small vases and jars for propagating anything that feels too overgrown. We also love adding freshly cut flowers as a centerpiece on the kitchen island or coffee table!
Spring is almost in the rearview, so it’s the perfect time to get a deep cleaning in before summer officially arrives! That’s much easier to do when your home feels a little less cluttered. Dedicate one day to each thing you want to focus on: windows and blinds, baseboards, dusting surfaces and cleaning the floors.
As you move through your home, you’ll likely find a few more items here and there that you’re ready to let go of. Spend some time giving your apartment home those finishing touches it needs so you can simplify your space this summer!
What have Evolve communities been up to this past season?
Evolve communities are all about celebrating their residents! This past season they’ve hosted events, scavenger hunts, and other games for their communities to have fun with. There are also tons of great community upgrades in the works that will make time spent at home even better!
Evolve at Stones Bay hid a “pot of gold” somewhere their community every day during the week of St. Patrick’s Day. Each winner received a gift card to a local small business. They also held a guessing contest with a jar of Skittles and a jar of Lucky Charms marshmallows. Amazon gift cards went to the residents with the closest guesses!
Some awesome community upgrades are coming to Mountain View this season. They’ll be adding a package room as well as adding a gazebo and sitting areas to the garden so that residents can enjoy green space with a mountain view!
Mountain View also had a snow photo contest in January with $75 and $50 gift cards given to first and second place and $10 gift cards given to anyone who submitted a photo!
1701 North served Valentine’s Day treats to their residents, and one day each month the Mex Etc. food truck stops by for residents to enjoy!

Bring your New Year’s resolutions to life with Evolve amenities
2022 is here, and we at Evolve couldn’t be more ready for it! It’s been a wild couple of years, and it feels good to turn yet another page on a new chapter! A new year means dedicating time to bringing new energy and habits into your life! Some of the best things about apartment living are the amazing amenities right at your fingertips. With a new year in full force, we’re here to break down some of our favorite ways to utilize amenities so that you can bring your New Year’s resolutions to life!
If you feel like you don’t have time to meditate, chances are you really need to meditate. It can seem daunting though, especially if you live with pets, your partner, or other family members. With lots of distractions around, it makes sitting down in silence even more challenging.
At Evolve, our communities offer a Yoga Room for you to practice, do Pilates, or sit in silence for meditation with no crazy distractions around you. Set a timer for just ten minutes and see what happens!
If working out seems boring to you, Evolve’s state-of-the-art fitness centers are here to make things exciting. From treadmills and bikes to kettlebells and dumbbells, there’s something for everyone, no matter what you need. Getting physical should be fun! If you’ve set an intention for yourself to sweat more this year, you’re in the right place.
Getting more vitamin D and fresh air is likely on a lot of our resolution lists in 2022. If we’ve learned anything over these last two years, it’s the importance of getting outdoors—particularly when it seems like you’ve been couped up for far too long!
Evolve communities are awesome about diversifying what’s available outdoor for residents. From casual seating areas to catch up with friends to communal herb gardens and dog parks, you’re sure to find a way to get outside this year!
Reading more is such a sweet and simple resolution that often gets overlooked. Who feels like they have time to read for pleasure anymore?! But when you’ve got a beautiful clubhouse to relax in, setting aside more time for reading feels a little more manageable. Jot down a list of books you want to read this year and cross them off as you go! Kick up your feet and get cozy!
If you feel like you missed out on a lot of the warm weather festivities last year with friends, 2022 might just be your year! When the cold days are behind us and the sun starts peeking out more often, grab your close group of friends and head to the grilling stations. Fresh air and home-cooked food can go a long way!
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2022?

Spread cheer with a festive front door this year
It feels like we say it every year, but it’s so hard to believe it’s already the holiday season! Here at Evolve, we’re all about getting festive with holiday décor to spread cheer far and wide! As always, we want your apartment to feel like a home – and what better way to invite in that cozy vibe than with holiday decorations? With no front yard to go full Griswold on, we love the idea of decorating your front door! Check out our favorite ways to make your front door festive this season.
If you’re not into tastefully tacky holiday decorations, keep things classy with muted colors and sophisticated décor. We love soft and subtle colors like blues, greens, and golds. A wreath is the perfect classy touch to any front door. If you’re looking for an extra touch of holiday cheer, try adding small Christmas trees on either side of the door as well.
Go all out with a front door just as decked out as your tree! Create a garland border around your door frame, and even add some string lights to really brighten it up. Try using double-sided tape to add lightweight ornaments as well. Get creative with it and make it your own! Strings of popcorn, pom pom garlands, and strings of beads are some other sweet ideas for decking the halls.
A super simple but effective way to get festive with your front door is to wrap it up like a present! Because who doesn’t love big gifts?! Grab your favorite wrapping paper and go wild. Add an oversized bow as the cherry on top!
Stick to a more traditional vibe with greenery, berries, pinecones, and other goodies found in nature. We love the idea of adding more natural elements and earthy tones to a traditional wreath or garland!
Bring the magic of the season to life by turning your front door into an entrance to Santa’s workshop. Oversized candy canes on either side of your door and elves hard at work are just a couple of ways to spread the cheer! You can even get really crafty and make a mailbox for Santa to receive all of his letters and lists!
Who doesn’t love retro décor – especially at Christmas? Big, bright string lights and vintage ornaments that you might have seen on your grandma’s tree are some of our favorite ways to get festive. Incorporate oversized Christmas lights into garland surrounding your front door, and add a wreath adorned with ornaments from the 1950s and 60s!

How we’re evolving into the New Year
It’s hard to believe we’re already in the final stretch of 2021! What a crazy couple of years we’ve had. Here at Evolve, we’ve had plenty of projects to keep us busy so we can continue helping you live in a community where you can grow (have you checked out Evolve Surf City or Evolve at Heritage yet?!). With private paradise vibes and resort-style amenities, we want your home to always feel like a permanent vacation. Keep reading to check out what’s on the horizon and how we’re evolving into 2022.
New Hope Farm has been in the Snoddy family for seven generations since King George III conveyed the land to them in 1774. New Hope Farm has seen a lot in its lifetime—from being a social center and a post office to a working farm and a stagecoach stop.
Currently, the structures on the land are a single-story Folk Victorian residence built in 1885 and outbuildings like the barn, the cook’s house, and the smoke house—all built of wood with tin roofs. The farm is also home to a beautiful freshwater spring and pond.
The land of New Hope Farm is teeming with history, which makes this project incredibly unique. At Evolve, our plan is to create a luxury community with a modern farm-style design while honoring what’s already there. With a stunning clubhouse and fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, pool house and grilling cabana, pickleball court, playground, and dog park, you’re sure to have all the major necessities at your fingertips.
Additionally, Evolve plans to repurpose the existing historical buildings on the property! The Folk Victorian residence would make a perfect coffee shop, and the large red barn could be converted into an eclectic brewery.
Many of New Hope Farm’s other historical structures and mature heritage trees will also remain on the land to preserve the deeply rooted history of the farm and add character to what’s on the horizon for 2022.
